Caroline Macefield
Chief Internal Audit Officer
Caroline joined Aberdeen in 2026 and is an experienced Internal Audit and Compliance leader who has spent over 20 years working across the financial services sector, including wealth and asset management, insurance, retirement savings, and pensions.
Before joining Aberdeen, Caroline spent 12 years working for Aegon Group, an international investment, protection and retirement solutions provider. She most recently served as the Group Compliance Officer, having previously been the Group Chief Auditor and earlier the Chief Internal Auditor for Aegon UK. Her earlier roles include financial planning at Tesco Bank and PwC, where she trained as a Chartered Accountant (CA).
